Take a look at the picture above, Can you recognize yourself? Unfortunately, almost every one I know slouches or has rounded shoulders.
It took me years to understand I had a hollow back and it's still slightly there, but it doesn't put pressure on my back anymore.
So how exactly does yoga correct all of these flaws?
Our spine has to carry the entire weight of our head, which as you know, is as heavy as a medium sized bowling ball.
When you sit at your desk all day or you're driving your car, you don"t exactly develop the back muscles your spine needs to support that weight.
When you practice yoga, your body uses all kinds of muscles you never need in daily life and the attention always goes to the right allignments of your body.
If you recognize yourself in one of the above pictures (and it doesn't look like the first one), send me a message and I'll gladly give you some exercices and postures that can help improve your posture.
Have a great day and remember to sit up straight ;)
